About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Assist with daily hygiene needs while maintaining privacy and dignity
  • Support safe moving and handling of patients
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort
  • Help with feeding and drinking
  • Escort residents to appointments when required
  • Assist residents to Mass and activities

Catering:

  • Distribute meals throughout the day
  • Assist with feeding residents
  • Prepare and serve beverages
  • Collect trays and clean tables

Housekeeping:

  • Keep sluice and clinical areas clean and stocked
  • Report equipment issues
  • Replenish supplies

Administration:

  • Answer telephone calls
  • File documentation as directed
  • Distribute mail
  • Complete meal requests

Working Pattern

Rotational shifts covering 24-hour care including day and night duty, Monday to Sunday. Maximum flexibility required.

Requirements

Essential:

  • QQI Level 5 or enrolled to commence

Desirable:

  • Previous HCA experience
  • Experience in care of older persons

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

An experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager is required to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within our nursing home.

THE ROLE

Clinical Leadership:

Ensure best-practice nursing standards are consistently maintained • Conduct comprehensive resident assessments • Monitor and manage clinical concerns (falls, pressure injuries, acute changes) • Escalate issues appropriately to the Director of Nursing • Support continuous improvement in clinical documentation and care planning

Medication Management:

Supervise medication administration and compliance • Manage monthly stock control and audits • Liaise with GPs and pharmacy regarding reviews and audits

Staff Supervision & Development:

Provide visible leadership and support to Nurses and Care Assistants • Participate in training, supervision and performance appraisals • Identify training needs and deliver in-house education • Promote a professional, person-centred care approach

Auditing & Quality Assurance:

Oversee clinical, medication, hygiene and health & safety audits • Monitor documentation systems (Epicare) • Implement and sustain quality improvement action plans

Resident & Family Engagement:

Act as a key contact for residents and relatives • Address concerns promptly and professionally • Promote a welcoming, supportive environment

Management Support:

Assist the Director of Nursing and the Assistant Director of Nursing and deputise for them when required • Participate in roster oversight, handovers and daily operational management • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies

WORKING PATTERN

Full-time position (39 hrs). Flexibility is required in line with nursing home operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

BSc in General Nursing (or equivalent) • Registered on the NMBI live register • Strong leadership and clinical decision-making skills

Desirable:

Previous managerial training/experience as Senior Staff Nurse or CNM • Experience in older persons’ care

Facilities Manager

About the Role

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of all facilities and maintenance activity across the organisation. The role reports to the Head of Operations and works closely with the Director of Nursing, maintenance staff, and external suppliers and contractors.

A key element of the role is the daily review, management, and closure of all maintenance jobs logged on Snapfix.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Maintenance

  • Oversee maintenance of buildings, plant, equipment, and grounds
  • Implement and manage planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Ensure prompt response to reactive maintenance issues
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records

Snapfix – Daily Job Management

  • Carry out daily checks of all jobs logged on Snapfix
  • Prioritise and allocate jobs to internal staff or approved contractors
  • Monitor progress and follow up on outstanding or overdue jobs
  • Ensure all jobs are fully documented and closed out on Snapfix

Supplier & Contractor Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for facilities‑related suppliers and contractors
  • Ensure contractors are appropriately vetted, insured, and compliant
  • Monitor performance, quality of work, and value for money
  • Ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and fire safety requirements
  • Coordinate safety checks, fire drills, and inspections
  • Support HIQA inspections relating to the environment and facilities

Projects & Environment

  • Support minor capital works and refurbishment projects
  • Monitor utilities and support energy‑efficiency initiatives

Person Attributes :

Essential

  • Experience in facilities or maintenance management, ideally in a regulated environment
  • Strong working knowledge of building maintenance and services
  • Experience using job‑logging or maintenance systems (e.g. Snapfix or similar)
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and fire safety requirements
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

Desirable

  • Experience in healthcare, nursing home, or residential care settings
  • Relevant trade or technical qualification
  • Health & Safety or Fire Safety training

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: €45,000 – €60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
