Assistant Director of Nursing required to support the Person in Charge/Director of Nursing in managing clinical services, leading staff and maintaining safe, person-centred resident care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the overall management of nursing and care services
  • Deputise for the PIC/DON as required
  • Oversee care standards, assessments and care plans
  • Support HIQA compliance, clinical governance and risk management
  • Coordinate audits and quality improvement actions
  • Review incidents, safeguarding concerns and complaints
  • Support recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development
  • Review staffing, rosters and resources within agreed budgets
  • Promote infection prevention, health and safety
  • Work with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Current NMBI registration
  • Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or leadership.

Experience:

  • At least three years’ experience nursing older people within the last six years, together with relevant clinical management experience.
  • Experience in audit, quality improvement and staff development

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards and relevant regulations
  • Good organisational and resource management skills
  • Competence with electronic care records

Salary €70,000.00 per annum

Clinical Nurse Manager

Clinical Nurse Manager required to lead the nursing and care team on the unit and ensure safe, person-centred resident care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day care and coordinate staff duties
  • Review assessments, care plans and clinical documentation
  • Maintain care standards and support HIQA compliance
  • Manage rosters and resources within agreed budgets
  • Supervise staff and complete probation reviews and appraisals
  • Support induction, training and student placements
  • Review incidents, complaints and clinical risks
  • Complete audits and follow up quality improvement actions
  • Communicate with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Current NMBI registration
  • A relevant management qualification or willingness to undertake a management course.

Experience:

  • Relevant nursing experience in older persons’ care
  • Experience supervising staff and coordinating clinical care

Skills:

  • Good leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Sound clinical judgement and knowledge of HIQA standards
  • Ability to manage priorities and support a team
  • Competence with electronic care records

Salary €27.45 per hour.  €55,668 per annum based on a 39-hour week

Healthcare Assistants

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with hygiene

  • Escort residents to appointments and activities

Additional Duties:

  • Distribute meals and beverages
  • Maintain clean clinical areas and stock supplies
  • Assist with administrative tasks
  • Answer calls and file documentation

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • QQI Level 5 (or enrolled to commence)

Experience:

  • Previous HCA experience
  • Experience with older persons

  • Patient-centred and compassionate
  • Good communication skills

  • Flexible approach

Salary €14.15 – €16.12 per hour
