Everything You Need to Know

You’ll find here everything you need to know about the day-to-day details and formalies of Cahercalla.

Of course we always encourage a visit to the hospital before admission and our Matron will be very happy to meet with you and your family, give you a tour of our home and answer any questions you  may have. Please just schedule an appointment with us beforehand, to make sure we can give you the time and attention you deserve.

Hospice Care

Cost

Hospice Care is provided free of charge, regardless of a patient’s financial position.

Funding

Cahercalla is a registered charity and the cost of running the facility is over €750 000 per annum. As we care for more and more patients each year, this figure increases over time. Part of the running costs of the facility are funded by the HSE – but we rely on the generosity and goodwill of the local community to raise the rest of the funds. We have an active fundraising programme to make sure we meet our targets each year.

We Value Your Thoughts

We’ll only keep getting better if we listen to what our patients, residents and visitors have to say – so please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions that could be useful, or if there is a query we can help you with.
