The nursing home at Cahercalla Community Hospital & Hospice is divided into 5 floors/wards.
- Ground Floor,
- 1st Floor – St. Josephs
- 2nd Floor – Sacred Heart
- Garden Wing – Ground Floor
- Garden Wing – 1st Floor
Each floor/ward has between 20 and 35 beds, made up of a range of private, double and larger rooms to suit each individual requirement. For some the option of a private room suits best while others prefer the company of others in a shared room.
Each bedroom is spacious, tastefully decorated and fully furnished and has a TV, an overhead bed light and nursing call bell. A number of rooms have telephones and all rooms are accessible by the hospital mobile phone.
We encourage our residents to bring items of furniture and personal belongings with them for their stay in order to make their room feel more like home.
Each ward has additional bathrooms and toilets, at least one of which is wheelchair accessible, a kitchenette, a sitting/day room and a nurses station.
The nursing home also has a number of dining areas, a treatment room, a large kitchen, a café, chapel, administration offices and reception area.
Our facility is built on a quiet, secluded site with beautiful landscaped gardens and ample parking for visitors.
